THERAPEUTIC VILLAGE

A speculative architectural response to the urban stressors of New York City. This village like design rejects the traditional asylum typology in favor of a soft and cornerless architecture that fosters a sense of refuge and psychological security. Inspired by the organic geometry of adobe cottages the project utilizes light and nature as primary healing elements within a decentralized community framework. By integrating single family units with communal zones for arts and group sessions the design encourages social participation while maintaining individual sanctity. The resulting interior and exterior landscapes wrap to create safe and unique spaces that prioritize the human spirit over clinical confinement.
